When I dip, you dip, we dip,,, Valentines Fondue

XOXO
We have done fondue on Valentines for the past few years,
both cheese and chocolate.
This year we opted for only chocolate after our dinner.
Creating a cute table setting doesn't have to be hard.
I found this cute vinyl tablecloth from Walmart
(they had red polka dots too)
for only .97 cents!
Then gathered other Valentines decor from around the house.
I waited for the mini gold pattern plates to go on sale from Target, that were
a Christmas item, when they finally did I snatched them up quick.
They were perfect for Valentine's and will be for many other
holidays too.
 Strawberry milk for the "Valen-tinies".
Cut paper straws in half for short glasses like these ones.
 Cheers!
 Mmmmmmmm.
Drooling yet?
You can dip almost anything in chocolate,
we chose bananas, pretzels, strawberries and brownie bites.
We bought chocolate fondue melting wafers for our fondue pot,
you can find them almost everywhere from Hobby Lobby to Walmart.
 Let the dipping begin.
We dipped until we were sick.
I think the brownie bites were the hit of the night.
But I have to say the banana and pretzels are the perfect salty sweet combo,
and the pretzel sticks also serve as a handle.
Winning!

Don't think fondue is hard, it really is the easiest thing to make,
and nothing tastes bad dipped in it.
It's fail proof.
I need to remember to do it more often and not just on Valentine's.
It makes for a fun and interactive dessert.

Candy Station + Little Decorative Boxes

I wanted to create a decorative treat station for when guests stop by & with it being the holidays we have had a ton of friends and family coming by.
I needed a little something to add for decoration, I just so happened to have these tiny little boxes hanging around. They were perfect size and everything, I found various things in my craft room and started wrapping them up!

I forgot to picture the brown paper bag present, you can see below what I used for it though.

I used fabric, a white striped paper bag, wrapping paper and various ribbons to tie with.

Elf Party Hats

Using wrapping paper and felt I made these simple Elf Party Hats.
Then it looked like my Santa cookie jar (from Hobby Lobby) needed a little party on his head!

Thanksgiving Chalkboard Print

Right click to save as

We can't wait for Thanksgiving dinner at Grandma's!
Complete with her home-made rolls, pies and of course the turkey.
We always do a smaller version of the whole spread just for leftovers.
The girls love that they get big girl drinks
(a.k.a. Martinellis's Cider)
in grown up fancy glasses.
Then we start setting up the Christmas tree!
The excitement wears off after so long for the kids
and we end up setting it all up.
But it's so magical twinkling at night.

Enjoy!

Out with the orange and black of Halloween,
in with gold, gourds and glitter.
The more gold the better we say!

Can you believe Thanksgiving is just two weeks away?
Then Christmas is just around the corner from there.
Time to think of a fun craft for the kiddos to do
after the turkey dinner.
So deck the halls with lots of gold and gourds!
