Party Pumpkins

My husband's birthday was yesterday but since he went camping for the whole weekend I made him some "Party Pumpkins" and Funfetti cupcake to surprise him when he gets home.

The chevron party hats, I made them out of wrapping paper I bought from Hobby Lobby just the other day. I added twine to the top of the little one and cut a piece of Halloween garland I had for the big one.

The yellow party hat with cut out stars, I cut from the Cricut cartridge Artiste and also added twine to the top.
The Pennant banners are made from fabric, which are so simple. All I did was cut out triangles sew them back to back, flipped them inside out and sew them to a piece of ribbon. Done-zo!

I can't want to get creative with the numbers to hang on it.
You can probably use a plain old piece of chalk and change
it out every day, or hang some cute numbers from glittery paper.
Nice thing is they are peel and stick
you can stick them anywhere you want in the house.
Even in the kiddos bedrooms if you want.

Only 67 days until Christmas!

Halloween Festivities

Halloween is one of our favorite holidays and with all the fun festivities around the corner there are so many ways to decorate and serve guests for a party. Here are two ideas we came up with.

This is so simple, Orange Soda and cute stirring sticks (sticks from the Target dollar section)

We can't go without candy corns, even if you don't like to eat them, you can at least decorate with them. Here we filled a bowl and added black skulls for embellishments. (black skulls also from Target dollar sections)

Halloween Marquee Letters

The marquee letters are so much fun, I wanted to give it a shot and making my own.
The "31" numbers are from Hobby Lobby as well as the black paint, but you can use any black paint.
The 20 count mini halloween lights are from the Dollar Store!

First you will want to cut the front of the number off then mark and punch holes on the back side of the numbers.
Paint each number, set aside to dry. Once dry stick the light in each hole.
Then lastly, decorate!

Halloween tins - using Ikea coffee tins

We love giving simple things an upgrade,
especially when it as simple as this project was.
Halloween tins
Ikea coffee tins set of 3 for $3.99
found here
Orange is not normally a color I would have on my counters,
but as a cute Halloween project they are perfect.
I especially love the tiny striped one.
 Supplies:
Ikea Tripp tins set of 3
Chalk labels
 {found at Hobby Lobby $3.99 for 24, plus we used a 40% off coupon}
Ribbon
Place your chalkboard labels on anywhere you please.
We chose not to put one on the black one.
 Just Plane Cute!
Just Plane easy!
The possibilities are endless to what you can write on them.
Eek!  Boo!  Candy Corn! Trick or Treat!
Get creative.
These will be adorable displayed at Halloween.
We even thought they would make cute favors or teacher gifts.

So next time you are soaring through Ikea pick up a pack, or two, or three
and make the cutest Halloween tins ever!

Your creative captains!
