Zesty Italian Bowtie Pasta

Found yet another recipe on Pinterest, we all about EASY and this only had 5 ingredients, had to try it out! 

Zesty Italian Bowtie Pasta

16 oz Bowtie Pasta

1 Cup milk (called for whipping cream, but I substituted for fat free milk)

1/2 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese

1 Packet of Zesty Italian seasoning 

1/2 Cup Butter (I didn't quite use all of it)

Cook Pasta as directed on package. Drain and rinse then return to pot. Add Butter until melted

Add milk, Parmesan and Italian seasoning until well mixed together.

Serve while hot!

 Easy right!?

Valentine Arrows

How can you pass up making arrows for Valentines?

We have seen some pretty cute ideas, but thought how can we make these

just plane cuter? 

So we hit up Hobby Lobby for felt (4/$1),

 then went out into the yard shook the snow off some branches from our trees

and brought several just what we needed inside.

 Easy enough right?! With a little hot glue these were done in no time!

Who doesn't want these included in their Valentines decor?

Think of a whole vase full of them.

We love projects that turn out as stinkin cute as these, and are as

simple to make as these also.

Felt Heart Arrows.

Cut multiple sizes and colors of hearts.

 
Any color combination will work.
Let your imaginations run wild.

Arrows are all the rage right now.

And could this project be any easier?

Sticks, felt, twine and some hot glue and you got it.

We think the more random and imperfect the twig the better.

We can't display a whole bunch of these during the whole

month of February.

Grab your glue guns, glitter and spray paint

then put those kids down for a nap,

 it's time to get your craft on!

Lemon Crinkle Cookies

After seeing a friend's Instgram who had made these

completely yummy lemon cookies we just had to

make them. They are soft, chewy and perfectly

"lemony" a sugary sweet lemon, just the perfect amount

of lemon not too overpowering.

Get ready for the ingredients....all 5 of them!

A lemon cake mix, 1/3 C vegetable oil, 2 eggs,

lemon extract and powdered sugar.

 I sprinkled mine with more powdered sugar after baking.

It seemed to blend into the cookie while in the oven.

 

 Are you drooling yet?

Did we mention easy?  These babies can be whipped up in minutes.

Like the times you need to take dinner to a neighbor.

Lemon Crinkle Cookies

1 Lemon box cake mix

1/3 cup vegetable oil

1 tsp lemon extract

{use vanilla if don't have lemon}

2 eggs

powdered sugar to roll cookies in

Mix first 4 ingredients with mixer.

Roll into balls in the palm of your hand,

about 1 T scoop size.

Then roll ball in powdered sugar.

Drop onto cookie sprayed cooked sheet,

or parchment paper.

Bake 375 degrees for 9 minutes

No need to flatten then will do that while baking.

DIY Chalkboard Valentines Tray

 Who is getting excited for Valentines Day?

I think I like decorating for Valentines more than the actual

holiday itself.  Either way I am still getting anxious to

put out the Valentines decor.

When Katelyn and I were looking at everything that IKEA had

to offer and we saw this cute plate for $4.99!

 We thought it looked like a lace doilie. 

It reminded us of something you would put out on

Valentines Day.

And since chalkboard has become all the rage lately

we thought this would be a perfect chalkboard.

 So we taped off the sides and got out our handy chalkboard

spray paint and sprayed the center.

We taped and covered the sides while painting.

After a coat or two of paint we had a

chalkboard center. 

 Now the possibilities are endless for decorating.

Use as a tray for treats, cute drinks

or do like we did and fill your martini glass

with conversation hearts.

 If only I was an artist, I would have an amazing

"fonty" handwriting and be able to make the

most adorable chalkboard signs I could imagine,

but I'm not, so the extras on the plate will have

to steal the stage for me.

Let the countdown to Valentines Day begin.
